Job summary

Regions is hiring a Mortgage Loan Officer in Alton, IL to direct residential loan origination through a branch network. The role involves processing loans, evaluating credit, and maintaining client relationships.

It is commission-based, with potential total compensation historically ranging from $20,000 to $100,000+ annually, depending on location and performance. NMLS registration is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of mortgage lending experience with proven mortgage production.
• Abundant mortgage experience developing external business via referral partners such as realtors, builders, and financial planners.

Responsibilities

• Completes mortgage applications for submission to loan processing and underwriting.
• Evaluates loan requests, analyzes financial data, and determines qualification of collateral and customer credit history.
• Maintains contact with loan customers, communicating progress and collecting required documentation.
• Structures loan to comply with lending practices and Federal regulations.
• Establishes detailed marketing/business plan with potential and existing customers and frequency of contact.
• Answers customer calls and walk-in customers about loan products and qualifications.
• Makes sales calls to develop new business or retain existing business.
• Cross-sells other bank products and services.
• Reads surveys and appraisals and takes steps to address issues.
• Participates in networking to promote loan products.
