Job summary

Regions is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer to originate residential mortgage loans through our branch network in Illinois. You will complete applications, evaluate requests, and maintain ongoing communication with customers to ensure successful processing and funding.

This full-time role requires 1 year of mortgage lending experience, a High School diploma or GED, and NMLS registration. You will build relationships with realtors and referral partners, cross-sell bank products, and adhere to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• One year of mortgage lending experience with proven mortgage production.
• Experience developing external business via referral partners (realtors, builders, financial planners).

Responsibilities

• Completes mortgage applications for submission to the loan processing and underwriting departments.
• Evaluates loan requests, analyzes financial data, and determines qualification of collateral and customer credit history.
• Maintains contact with loan customers, and communicates progress of loan and required documents.
• Structures loan to comply with lending practices and Federal regulations.
• Establishes marketing plans including names of potential and existing loan customers and contact frequency.
• Answers customer calls and walk-in customers to discuss loan products and qualification information.
• Makes sales calls to develop new business or retain existing customers; cross-sell bank products and services.
• Reads surveys and appraisals and takes necessary steps to correct encroachments and violations.
