Job summary

Regions Bank in Illinois is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer to originate residential loans through a branch network. You will complete applications, evaluate requests, and maintain client relationships to drive production.

The role is commission-based with potential total compensation varying by location and performance. NMLS registration is required, with benefits and full-time employment details provided by Regions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• One year of mortgage lending experience with proven mortgage production.
• Abundant mortgage experience in developing external business via referral partners in the market including but not limited to realtors, builders, and financial planners.

Responsibilities

• Completes mortgage applications for submission to the loan processing and underwriting departments.
• Evaluates loan requests, analyzes financial data, and determines qualification of collateral and customer credit history.
• Maintains contact with loan customers, communicating progress of loan and obtaining required documentation.
• Structures loan to comply with lending practices and Federal regulations.
• Establishes detailed marketing plans including target customers and frequency of contact.
• Responds to customer calls and walk-in inquiries about loan products and qualification information.
• Makes sales calls to develop new business or retain existing business.
• Cross-sell other bank products and services.
• Reads surveys and appraisals and takes steps to address issues.
