Regions Financial is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer to direct residential mortgage loan origination from borrower through customer calls and referrals. The role requires completing applications, evaluating requests, maintaining customer contact, and ensuring compliance with lending practices.

Responsibilities include outreach to marketing prospects, responding to inquiries, and cross-selling other bank products, with potential networking in professional communities to promote loan products.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Mortgage origination experience or related customer-facing sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes mortgage applications for submission to loan processing and underwriting.
• Evaluates loan requests, analyzes financial data, and determines qualification of collateral and customer credit history.
• Maintains contact with loan customers, communicating progress and obtaining documentation.
• Structures loan to comply with lending practices and Federal regulations.
• Outreach via outbound calls and email to marketing prospects and responds to inquiries online or by phone.
• Cross-sells other bank products and services.
• Reads surveys and appraisals and addresses encroachments and violations.
• May participate in networking through professional, business and community organizations to promote loan products.
