Job summary

Cenlar is seeking a Litigation Associate to monitor high risk and litigation- or title-related accounts, acting as a bridge between clients, upper management and attorneys. The role supports the Foreclosure, Bankruptcy and Post Sale Department with research, reports and meetings.

Responsibilities include attending risk meetings, preparing client reports and ensuring adherence to servicing guides, RESPA and SCRA requirements across a multi-state portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years mortgage default experience or related experience preferred.
• Paralegal certification and/or legal experience may be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Monitors high risk/litigation/title issue accounts and recommends actions.
• Attends monthly Credit Risk Meeting and provides updates.
• Prepares and distributes monthly client reports.
• Assesses policies and procedures and advises on improvements.
• Travels to state/county hearings or mediations as required.
• Maintains knowledge of FNMA/FHLMC servicing guidelines and timelines.
• Identifies trends in litigation and mortgage servicing context.
• Ensures compliance with RESPA and SCRA where applicable.
