Job summary

Citi in Dublin, CA seeks a Mortgage Lending Officer to originate high-quality residential real estate loans for clients. You will engage with retail partners, real estate agents, and referral sources to grow Citi’s home lending business.

The role requires assessing borrower qualification, explaining pricing, and ensuring regulatory compliance, including MLO licensing with the NMLS. Strong client relationships are essential.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of residential mortgage experience.
• 1+ year sales, credit or finance experience.
• Proven product sales capability.
• FHA/VA and conventional loan experience preferred.
• Must register as a mortgage loan originator with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).

Responsibilities

• Consult with customers about financial situations and lending needs to help achieve home ownership.
• Collect and analyze borrower information including income, assets and credit history.
• Assess qualification for lending solutions and explain pricing options.
• Promote Citi’s lending products and develop relationships with agents and referral sources.
• Coordinate with Operations, Processors and Underwriters to close loans timely.
