Job summary

Burke & Herbert Bank & Trust in Hurricane, WV seeks an experienced Mortgage Loan Officer to initiate the mortgage process, analyze applications, and verify information for purchases or refinances. You will network with real estate agents, financial advisors, and past clients to generate referrals and deliver excellent service.

You will ensure compliance with lending programs, coordinate with processing teams, and maintain ongoing borrower communication throughout the loan lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with NMLS Federal Registry.
• Minimum of two years residential mortgage lending experience.
• A four-year college degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a network of business relationships with real estate professionals and others.
• Meet with potential borrowers regarding mortgage needs and present suitable products.
• Complete the borrower's application and analyze financial and credit data.
• Lock rate per company and regulatory guidelines.
• Prepare or request all applicable loan documentation and coordinate with processing teams.
• Maintain communication with borrowers regarding loan status and milestones.
• Ensure compliance with lending programs, policies and regulatory requirements.
