Job summary

Employee Workplace is seeking a Mortgage Default Collector to support a mortgage servicing organization working with credit unions. You will help borrowers understand options, set up payment plans, and safeguard sensitive financial information while maintaining accurate records.

You will contact borrowers, coordinate with attorneys when needed, and partner with internal teams to ensure timely resolution of issues in accordance with federal and state guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in mortgage servicing, collections, loss mitigation, or related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication with sensitivity and professionalism.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound/outbound calls with borrowers on delinquent payments and options.
• Establish payment arrangements and identify loss mitigation opportunities.
• Document borrower interactions and account status accurately.
• Follow regulatory requirements and servicing guidelines.
• Coordinate on escrow changes, ARM payments, taxes, and post-payoff disbursements.
• Communicate with attorneys for bankruptcy or foreclosure accounts as needed.
• Collaborate with credit unions and internal teams for updates and resolutions.
