Job summary

Planet Home Lending, LLC is seeking a Mortgage Collections Specialist to manage a delinquent loan collection program within established guidelines and procedures to minimize delinquencies in the mortgage portfolio.

The role requires inbound/outbound calls, negotiating payment arrangements, documenting collection history, and collaborating with the Mitigation Department to determine the best course of action. This is a full-time position in a standard office setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• One year of call center collections experience required
• Mortgage collections experience required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and negotiation abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Responsibilities

• Monitor standard collection procedures to minimize delinquencies
• Assist mortgagors in bringing loans current via inbound/outbound calls
• Set payment arrangements per guidelines and policy
• Document and maintain online collection history
• Refer to Mitigation Department when the borrower cannot bring the loan current
• Maintain quality call standards and meet daily call goals
• Stay updated on investor rules and requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned
