Job summary

Profed-Federal-Credit-Union is seeking a Mortgage Delinquency Specialist to contact delinquent mortgage loan accounts and support loss mitigation efforts. The role involves adhering to investor servicing guidelines, collecting on delinquent loans, and reporting delinquencies promptly to investors and PMI providers.

Knowledge of mortgage operations, attention to detail, and proficiency with Excel/Word are essential.

Qualifications

Knowledge of credit union and/or mortgage operations.
Ability to follow detailed directions and navigate investor and insurance portals.
Good written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

Primary contact for homeowners with mortgage loan repayment issues and/or financial hardships.
Ensure adherence to CFPB and NCUA regulations.
Send required solicitation letters to delinquent mortgage loan accounts as required.
Provide loss mitigation options to members in default.
Prepare mortgage loan accounts in bankruptcy or foreclosure for the appropriate collection attorney.
Maintain documentation on all invoices paid and submit servicer expense reimbursements to investors.
Report timely mortgage loan delinquency information per investor guidelines and PMI provider.
Collect delinquent loans, Visa accounts, and negative balance accounts.
Expand knowledge of credit union products and services.
Provide exceptional member service with empathy and effective solutions.
