Job summary

Newrez is seeking a Dedicated Servicing Consultant I to handle collections on First Bank and GMFS portfolios. The role focuses on maximizing recovery and disposition strategies while maintaining clear client communication. On-site work at the Tempe office is required.

You will engage borrowers, set up payment arrangements, and document all interactions for client review, with emphasis on adherence to FDCPA guidelines and accuracy in case notes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in loss mitigation, collections, or related mortgage-servicing preferred.
• Knowledge of FDCPA guidelines and compliance requirements.
• Excellent telephone and written communication skills; English fluency required; Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive and review loan information; contact borrowers to cure delinquency and set up payment plans.
• Use manual dialing and automated dialer to reach borrowers and discuss workout options.
• Prepare notes and communicate with clients via email; document conversations in the system.
• Utilize DA tool and client matrices to determine deferments and repayment plans.
• Assist in sending emails and follow-ups; update borrower contact preferences.
• Maintain accuracy in records and meet monthly payment goals.
• Provide one-call resolution where possible and escalate issues as needed.
