TEKsystems is seeking a Collections Specialist (Mortgage Servicing) for a direct-hire, permanent role in Buchanan, MI, with a hybrid schedule. The position supports members through mortgage delinquency and resolution, coordinating with internal partners and attorneys to resolve accounts.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in mortgage collections within financial services, strong customer service, and the ability to work across multiple systems while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of collections experience within a Credit Union, Bank, Mortgage Servicer, or Financial Services organization.
• Experience managing delinquent mortgage accounts
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
• Comfortable navigating multiple computer systems and applications
• Strong attention to detail in a regulated financial environment

Responsibilities

• Manage delinquent residential mortgage accounts through the collection lifecycle
• Contact members to discuss payment options and establish repayment arrangements
• Support loss mitigation and workout plan activities
• Coordinate foreclosure-related processes with attorneys and legal partners
• Assist with bankruptcy proceedings and related account management
• Manage deceased member accounts and estate-related claims
• Maintain thorough documentation and account records
• Ensure compliance with banking regulations, policies, and servicing guidelines
• Partner with attorneys, title companies, and internal departments to resolve complex account situations
• Work across multiple servicing, lending, and collections systems
