Job summary

Pennymac in the United States is seeking a Collateral Management Specialist to review collateral files and ensure enforceability and data accuracy on purchased loans. You will serve as a primary contact on collateral procurement projects.

The role requires 2+ years in mortgage or finance, familiarity with collateral documents, training ability, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. The team values accountability, reliability, and ethical conduct.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mortgage or finance industry experience.
• Familiar with collateral documents files (note, mortgage, riders, assignments, title policy, etc.).
• Ability to be trained and train on various Collateral Management tasks.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).

Responsibilities

• Review collateral files for newly boarded purchased loans to ensure enforceability and data accuracy.
• Serve as point of contact on collateral procurement projects.
• Complete and resolve escalated collateral reviews and exception resolutions.
• Assist sellers in clearing or curing collateral issues on purchased loans.
• Report collateral exceptions to sellers and internal departments.
• Work with Foreclosure Attorneys to obtain active Bailee letters.
• Place collateral document orders with vendors and create collateral documents (Allonges, Endorsements).
• Maintain departmental policies and participate in related duties.
• Demonstrate behaviors aligned with the organization’s values.
