Job summary

Pennymac is seeking a Collateral Management Specialist to review collateral files for loans purchased and ensure enforceability. You will be a point of contact on collateral procurement projects and respond to escalated reviews and exceptions.

The role involves working with sellers, reporting issues to internal teams, and creating required collateral documents while upholding Pennymac's policies and values. Office-based position with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mortgage or finance industry experience
• Familiar with collateral documents files (note, mortgage, riders, title policy)
• Ability to be trained and train on collateral management tasks
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Review collateral files for loans purchased by Pennymac to ensure enforceability and accuracy
• Serve as point of contact on assigned collateral procurement projects
• Complete and resolve escalated collateral reviews and exceptions
• Assist sellers in clearing collateral issues on purchased loans
• Report collateral exceptions to sellers and internal departments
• Work with Foreclosure Attorneys to obtain active Bailee letters
• Place collateral document orders with vendors
• Create collateral documents (i.e. Allonges, Endorsements)
• Maintain departmental policies and procedures
• Demonstrate Pennymac's values in daily work
