Job summary

Pennymac, a leading mortgage lender, seeks a Collateral Management Specialist to review collateral files for purchased loans, ensuring enforceability and accurate Note data. You will be a primary contact on collateral procurement projects and work with sellers and internal teams to resolve issues.

The role requires 2+ years in mortgage or finance, familiarity with collateral documents, and the ability to learn and train others.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mortgage or finance industry experience, preferably in loan servicing
• Familiar with collateral documents files (note, mortgage, riders, assignments, title policy)
• Ability to be trained and train on collateral management tasks

Responsibilities

• Review collateral files for loans purchased by Pennymac to ensure enforceability and data accuracy
• Complete and resolve escalated collateral reviews and exceptions
• Assist in clearing or curing collateral issues with sellers
• Report collateral exceptions to sellers and internal teams
• Place collateral document orders and create documents (Allonges, Endorsements)
• Maintain departmental policies and procedures and participate in their updates
