Job summary

GreenState Credit Union is hiring for a Mortgage Closing Support role. The incumbent prepares, reviews and processes closing-related wire transactions and mortgage payoff disbursements, ensuring compliance and fraud prevention throughout the process.

The position pays $23.61–$27.60 per hour with a progressive benefits package. The role supports closing teams to ensure accurate funding and proper lien payoff following loan closings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Strong interpersonal skills to represent the Credit Union positively.
• Ability to provide quality service by phone, in person, or by email.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers.
• Prioritize tasks and handle large volumes of details.
• Proficiency with computer applications and standard office equipment.
• Accuracy and attention to detail are essential.
• Lending policies and Real Estate knowledge are helpful.

Responsibilities

• Participates in mortgage closing activities with borrowers, settlement agents, and loan teams to ensure timely funding.
• Reviews loan files and funding packages for completeness and accuracy.
• Prepares, reviews, and distributes closing documents and related disclosures.
• Initiates, verifies, and tracks wire transfers, payoffs, and disbursements with fraud controls.
• Communicates funding status and closing updates to stakeholders.
• Processes payoff transactions, closing fees, and GL entries with reconciliation.
• Supports title ordering and issue resolution for missing information.
