Job summary

Hai Hospitality is seeking a Pastry Cook to join our kitchen team in Houston. You will contribute to dessert production for dinner service, including baking, sauce work, chocolate, and more. This morning-to-afternoon shift runs roughly 6am–2pm, and prior pastry experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to effectively communicate with guests and other employees
• Detect and identify safety issues, and comply with safety guidelines and standards
• Lift and carry trays, dishes, equipment, and goods up to 50 lbs, stock inventory, and perform restocking duties
• Must have the ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

Responsibilities

• Assist in pastry production for dinner service
• Bake, sauce work, chocolate work and related dessert preparation
• Maintain a neat and organized workspace and proper storage of supplies
• Move quickly and efficiently to respond to customer needs
