The Gahanna YMCA is seeking a part-time Membership Experience Specialist to warmly greet members, assist with memberships, and support daily desk operations in a 15–20 hour weekly shift (5:15a–9a). You will handle transactions, build community, and provide information on Y programs and services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and at least two years of related experience and/or training.
• Passionate belief in the Y’s cause of nurturing the potential of all youth, supporting healthy living for all people and finding ways to help and support our neighbors.
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
• Basic computer skills such as knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.
• Proven track record of developing authentic relationships with others.
• Must complete all required Welcome Desk and Daxko trainings in first 30 days
• CPR, First Aid, AED and O2 certifications must be obtained within 90 days
• Must keep certifications current throughout employment.
• All staff must complete the Y’s safety training through their Kronos checklist and all applicable paperwork in the checklist prior to their first day of work.

Responsabilités

• Greets members and scans membership cards to grant access and foster a welcoming environment.
• Provides information about memberships, programs, facilities, services and financial assistance.
• Handles membership sales and follow-ups, collects information for records and databases, and processes holds or cancellations as trained.
• Maintains accurate cash, check and credit sale records, balances cash drawer, and documents shift activities.
• Assists members in connecting with each other and building community within the branch.
• Delivers facility tours in person or by phone to prospective members and follows up as directed.
• Keeps Welcome Desk clean, organized, and well-stocked to meet member needs.
• Follows YMCA policies and procedures and responds to emergencies as needed.
