Job summary

The Crossroads YMCA is seeking a part-time Leader on Duty at the YMCA Sportscenter in Crown Point, IN. This role supervises, monitors, and guides the branch and grounds, including parking, with emphasis on safety and a welcoming culture.

You will lead in emergency situations, greet members, promote programs, and ensure outstanding service while fostering a friendly, safe environment. Morning availability is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of customer service and supervisory experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to relate and communicate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
• Complete New Employee Orientation, MOD Orientation Training, and CPR/AED/First Aid/Oxygen certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist members; provide courteous service.
• Sell memberships and programs.
• Monitor safety and respond as first responder.
• Lead and supervise staff and volunteers.
• Perform light housekeeping and maintenance.
• Enforce YMCA policies and safety procedures.
