Job summary

Ball State University Dining is seeking a University Dining Supervisor to oversee all food and beverage operations in Ball State University Dining. The role focuses on leadership, customer service, and compliance with safety standards, including HACCP and Indiana Food Service Code regulations.

The supervisor will lead full-time and part-time staff, manage inventory and purchasing, and work under the General Manager to ensure excellent service and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least one year of direct or related work experience in food service leadership.
• Strong oral and written communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct food service staff to meet quality, service and safety standards.
• Train and coach employees; ensure proper documentation and performance reviews.
• Audit cash handling, inventory, and adherence to HACCP and state regulations.
• Support menu planning, purchasing, and coordination with the General Manager.
