Emporium Pies in Dallas, TX is seeking an Assistant Manager - AM Bake & Kitchen to lead the shift, ensuring baked goods and kitchen products are produced safely, efficiently, and to schedule. You will direct the AM Bake Lead, Kitchen Lead, and hourly staff, coordinating workflow and enforcing recipes, quality, and food safety standards.

The role requires strong leadership, effective communication, and the ability to train and coach a fast-paced team.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Food Manager Certification required or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Previous bakery, kitchen, or food production experience required.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with bakery production, recipes, food safety, and commercial kitchen equipment preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the day-to-day operation of the AM Bake & Kitchen production area on shift.
• Direct the AM Bake Lead, Kitchen Lead, and hourly bakery employees in daily production activities.
• Assign work and coordinate staffing based on production needs and schedules.
• Ensure products are produced according to recipes, preparation, portioning, and quality standards.
• Monitor production progress and communicate delays or issues to the Bakery Production Manager.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are followed during the shift.
• Monitor ingredient and supply needs and communicate purchasing needs to the Bakery Production Manager.
• Train and coach employees on procedures, recipes, equipment, safety, and quality standards.
• Monitor employee performance and address concerns with the Bakery Production Manager.
• Maintain an organized, efficient, and safe production environment aligned with department goals.
