• Support production planning to meet customer demand while minimizing shrink.
• Assist with training, coaching, and developing bakery associates.
• Provide direction and support to team members during daily operations.
• Promote a positive work environment focused on teamwork and customer satisfaction.
• Serve as manager-on-duty for the department when the Bakery Manager is absent.
• Assist with performance management and accountability processes.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and create a welcoming shopping experience.
• Resolve customer concerns professionally and promptly.
• Assist customers with product selection, special orders, and bakery requests.
• Promote bakery programs, seasonal items, and special promotions.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
• Maintain proper product handling, storage, and rotation procedures.
• Conduct routine cleanliness and safety inspections within the department.
• Ensure associates follow company policies and operational procedures.
• Assist with ordering and inventory control processes.
• Monitor sales, shrink, and department expenses.
• Support labor scheduling efforts to align staffing with business needs.
• Help achieve department sales and profitability goals.
