Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a General Ledger Associate in Illinois to deliver timely month-end financial results and support the close process. You will work with Controlling on variance analysis and drive efficiency in accounting and reporting.

Responsibilities include journal entries, reconciliations, US GAAP statements, and ad hoc analyses. Requires strong Excel and ERP experience; CPA preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• CPA license preferred, not required.
• 2+ years of relevant work in energy/related field.
• Familiar with IFRS and US GAAP.
• Experience with ERP systems, SAP preferred.
• Strong communication and deadline-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end close duties: journals, reconciliations, roll-forwards.
• Prepare US GAAP monthly/quarterly statements for FR team.
• Provide ad hoc analyses for internal customers and projects.
• Respond to accounting inquiries from internal/external auditors.
• Establish best practices for monthly close and reconciliations.
