Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is seeking an Accounts Payable Associate to manage high-volume A/P transactions in a multi-unit environment. The role posts 250+ invoices weekly, supports pay cycles, and assists with month-end close in an office-based setting in the United States.

The candidate should have a BS in finance or accounting, SAP experience, and strong MS Office skills. This is a full-time, permanent position with a salary range aligned to Illinois/ NY markets.

Qualifications

• BS degree preferred in finance or accounting
• Minimum 2 years of work experience in the finance area, with emphasis on account reconciliations
• SAP experience strongly preferred
• Basic knowledge of accounts payable principles and procedures
• Ability to communicate with vendors and internal customers on AP discrepancies

Responsibilities

• Verify and post invoices to SAP within established time standards
• Review weekly aging reports to ensure timely payment of posted invoices
• Review payment proposals to include all approved invoices in the payment run
• Communicate with vendors and internal customers on AP discrepancies
• Ensure vendor banking is up to date in SAP
• Perform month end close activities including AP accruals and Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt discrepancies
• Set up manual wires in the bank’s online system as needed
