JOB SUMMARY

The Monitor III reports to the Assistant Program Director and is responsible for the supervision and monitoring of clients in residential and outpatient programs.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide supervision and monitoring of residents.
  • Ensure that residents comply with schedules.
  • Make written notes to document client behavior as per contract requirements for the program.
  • Document rounds, counts, and inspections on appropriate forms.
  • Answer the telephone and the door/gate.
  • Detect and implement appropriate disciplinary reports and actions on client misbehavior and rule violations.
  • Perform other resident monitoring activities such as utilizing surveillance equipment.
  • Perform some filing and other general office duties.
  • Perform routine janitorial duties as needed.
  • Perform client urine sample collections; room, personal, and vehicle searches as scheduled.
  • Detect and report resident rule violations as they occur.
  • Count and record census in the log.
  • Visually observe client movement and activities.
  • Perform routine pat down searches of residents.
  • Perform perimeter and room checks.
  • Visually observe the transmission of urine for testing.
  • Will think and act quickly and efficiently in emergencies.
  • Will drive on Agency business.
  • Physical presence at the program is required.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Current certified training in emergency first aid preferred.
  • Legibly, accurately and appropriately document communications, behaviors and routine facility events as they occur.
  • Basic computer skills in Office 365, Teams, Zoom and other communication/meeting platforms.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a dependable means of transportation that is properly insured and operated in accordance with all laws. Agency insurer authorization is required.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and TB test.
