Job summary

Turning Point of Central California, Inc. seeks a Monitor III for Bakersfield, part-time, to supervise residents in residential and outpatient programs. You will ensure schedule adherence, document behavior, and handle routine monitoring tasks on site.

Qualifications

  • Basic computer skills in Office 365, Teams, Zoom and similar platforms.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and insured vehicle access.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background check, physical, drug screen and TB test.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and monitor residents.
  • Ensure residents follow schedules and rules.
  • Document client behavior and program events in logs.
  • Record rounds, counts and inspections on forms.
  • Answer phones and door/gate as needed.
  • Report and disciplinary actions for misbehavior.
  • Utilize surveillance equipment for monitoring.
  • Assist with filing and general office duties.
  • Perform routine janitorial tasks as needed.
  • Collect urine samples and conduct room/vehicle searches.
  • Record census and observe client movement.
  • Perform pat-downs and perimeter checks as required.
  • Observe transmission of urine for testing.
  • Respond quickly and effectively in emergencies.
  • Operate agency vehicle for authorized trips.
  • Be physically present at the program location.

Monitor III - Part Time (2201)# Monitor III - Part Time (2201)Kennemer Center - Bakersfield, CA 93307## OverviewSalary Range$18.20 - $23.95 HourlyPosition TypePart TimeEducation LevelHigh School## Description**JOB SUMMARY**The Monitor III reports to the Assistant Program Director and is responsible for the supervision and monitoring of clients in residential and outpatient programs.**ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**1. Provide supervision and monitoring of residents.2. Ensure that residents comply with schedules.3. Make written notes to document client behavior as per contract requirements for the program.4. Document rounds, counts, and inspections on appropriate forms.5. Answer the telephone and the door/gate.6. Detect and implement appropriate disciplinary reports and actions on client misbehavior and rule violations.7. Perform other resident monitoring activities such as utilizing surveillance equipment.8. Perform some filing and other general office duties.9. Perform routine janitorial duties as needed.10. Perform client urine sample collections; room, personal, and vehicle searches as scheduled.11. Detect and report resident rule violations as they occur.12. Count and record census in the log.13. Visually observe client movement and activities.14. Perform routine pat down searches of residents.15. Perform perimeter and room checks.16. Visually observe the transmission of urine for testing.17. High school diploma or GED.2. Current certified training in emergency first aid preferred.3. Legibly, accurately and appropriately document communications, behaviors and routine facility events as they occur.4. Possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a dependable means of transportation that is properly insured and operated in accordance with all laws. Agency insurer authorization is required.6.
