Job summary

Turning Point of Central California, Inc. is seeking a Residential Monitor to supervise residents at the Belgravia Center and enforce program policies.

You will document behaviors, conduct security checks, and respond to emergencies while performing routine office duties and driving on agency business. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, background checks, and the ability to pass drug and TB testing, with preference for related experience and first aid training.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Two years monitor experience or 48 college units.
  • Two years of work experience with justice-involved adults or related field preferred.
  • Current certified training in emergency first aid, preferred.
  • Legibly, accurately document communications, behaviors and facility events as they occur.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and have access to dependable transportation.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and TB test.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision and monitoring of residents.
  • Monitor and ensure residents and visitors comply with all program policies and schedules.
  • Make written notes/reports to document resident behavior, per contract requirements.
  • Complete multiple security checks throughout shifts including walking the perimeter and monitoring the grounds.
  • Document rounds, counts, and room inspections on appropriate forms.
  • Perform routine pat-down searches of residents.
  • Respond quickly to calls and visitors at the door/gate and report incidents.
  • Document resident behavioral incidents and/or violations of policies.
  • Perform filing and general office duties.
  • Collect and process urine specimens and documents per procedures.
  • Think and act quickly in emergencies.
  • Drive on Agency business.
  • Physical presence at the program is required.

Education

High school diploma or GED
Two years monitor experience or 48 college units
