JOB SUMMARY

The Monitor I reports to the Program Director and is responsible for the supervision, managing and monitoring of federal residents in Federal Bureau of Prisons Residential Reentry Center.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Provide supervision and monitoring of FBOP (Federal Bureau of Prisons) residents.


2. Monitor and ensure that residents comply with RRC (Residential Reentry Center) regulations, schedules and work assignments.


3. Make written notes/reports to document federal resident behavior, as per FBOP contract requirements.


4. Complete multiple security checks throughout shifts including walking the perimeter, monitoring the grounds, documenting rounds, counts, and inspections on appropriate forms.


5. Quickly respond to incoming telephone calls and visitors or residents at the door/gate.


6. Report and appropriately document resident behavioral incidents and/or violations of FBOP or RRC rules.


7. Perform some filing and other general office duties.


8. Perform urine specimen collection for same gender and process specimens and documents in accordance with stated and approved procedures.


9. Conduct random or scheduled room, and vehicle searches.


10. Perform routine pat down searches of residents.


11. Thinks and acts quickly and efficiently in emergencies.


12. Will drive on Agency business.


13. Physical presence at the program is required.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

1. High school diploma or GED.


2. Two (2) years monitor experience.


3. Current certified training in emergency first aid, preferred.


4. Legibly, accurately and appropriately document communications, behaviors and facility events as they occur.


5. Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, Office 365, Teams, Zoom and other communication/meeting platforms.


6. Possess a valid driver's license and have access to a dependable means of transportation that is properly insured and operated in accordance with all laws. Agency insurer authorization is required.


7. Ability to pass a criminal background check.


8. Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, general physical, and TB test.
