Job summary

Citizens Financial Group in Johnston, RI seeks a Trust Operations Associate to support money movement processing and operational duties. You will learn through mentorship, handling deposits, account changes, and client communications with a focus on accuracy and timely responses.

The role requires a year+ in financial services, strong communication, and ability to work independently or in a team. Monday–Friday schedule with full-time hours and benefits.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in the financial services industry with money movement transactions.
• Positive and customer-focused mindset with the ability to influence others and enrich the customer experience.
• Proven strong active listening and problem-solving skills with persistence in customer interactions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to train and support others.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, multi-dimensional work environment with good time management.
• Detail-oriented and goal-driven professional approach.
• Ability to learn various Computer Based systems including InnoTrust and Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word).

Responsibilities

• Check deposit processing (scanning, entering in system, obtaining approval, and notifying relationship managers).
• Prepare and mail client materials accurately and obtain proper approval.
• Handle account change confirmations.
• Escalate discrepancies and customer inquiries promptly.
• Process operational settlement wires.
• Monitor and verify transfers of securities with colleagues/vendors.
• Prepare costs basis report for asset transfers and send to custodians.
• Prepare reporting, conduct reconciliations and validation requests.
• Provide coverage for other operational staff during peak times and vacations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
