Job summary

Summit Polymers in Kentucky is seeking a Production Operator/Associate for molding machine operation and assembly of molded parts under supervision. You will work with simple hand tools, perform quality checks, and ensure parts meet specifications.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, attention to quality, and willingness to perform routine clerical tasks and 5S housekeeping. On-site work with opportunities to learn and grow within a manufacturing team.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow Operator Instruction Sheets.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Attention to quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Reads, understands, and follows Operator Instruction Sheet to determine part number(s), inspection procedures, packing requirements, and any special instruction.
• Retrieves, separates, inspects, counts, weighs, packs, and labels parts as directed.
• Uses simple hand tools to trim, cut, and prepare parts for other operations per safety procedures.
• Operates molding machines and/or air activated tools to assemble, decorate, or produce product; reports machine issues.
• Compares and monitors production quality against approved samples and accepts or rejects as needed.
• Performs routine cleaning and housekeeping to maintain work station and area per 5S.
