Job summary

Summit Polymers, Inc. in Vicksburg, Michigan is seeking a Production Operator/Associate to operate molding machines and assist with assembly of molded parts under the direct supervision of the department supervisor.

You will use simple hand tools, trim, weigh, pack, inspect parts, record quality data, participate in color and mold changes, and support breaks and housekeeping to meet production targets and 5S standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to read and follow instructions.
• Basic math and measurement skills.

Responsibilities

• Reads, understands, and follows Operator Instruction Sheet to determine part numbers and packing requirements.
• Retrieves, inspects, counts, weighs, packs, and labels parts per instructions.
• Uses hand tools to trim, cut, and prepare parts per safety procedures.
• Operates molding machines and assembles, decorates, or produces products; reports machine issues.
• Monitors production quality against approved samples and documents results.
• Maintains 5S standards and assists with color changes and mold changes.
