Job summary

The Toro Company in El Paso, TX is seeking a Set Up Technician to keep injection molding lines running safely and efficiently. You will install and remove molds and assist with mold changes while following safety, production, and quality standards.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, preventive maintenance on molds, submitting logs and requests, and adhering to all policies. Candidates should have at least 3 years in mold set up, forklift experience, and familiarity with Toshiba/Toyo

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical vocational training desired.
• Minimum 3 years in backup mold set up or related role.
• Experience with mold set-up functions and tooling.
• Forklift experience.
• Familiar with Toshiba and Toyo machines and controls.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical/electrical concepts and safety.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on molds and peripheral equipment.
• Safely install and remove molds from injection molding machines per procedures.
• Prepare and submit Daily Log, MRR, and PM requests clearly.
• Follow company, safety, and department policies.
• Know injection molding functions (hot runners, KO, core pulls, cooling).
• Identify opportunities to streamline work and reduce waste.
