Job summary

Techniplas is a global plastic components supplier serving automotive and industrial markets. The Mold Setter on 2nd shift is responsible for setting up production molds, maintaining equipment, and documenting mold activities.

The role requires teamwork, basic math skills, and mechanical aptitude with a focus on efficiency and safety. Responsibilities include mold changes, cleanliness, and coordination with shift teammates, with a strong emphasis on process improvements to shorten changeover

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must work in a team environment and have good attendance.
• Proficient in basic mathematics.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written or verbal instructions.
• Hydraulic maintenance or tool/robot setup and manufacturing experience a plus.
• Must possess mechanical aptitude and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Remove and set molds according to the mold change schedule.
• Maintain molds for cleanliness and perform repairs as needed.
• Perform mold cleaning and required documentation.
• Develop and complete process improvements to increase changeover rate.
• Coordinate with other department personnel and shift changeover.
• Operate forklifts, hand trucks, and hoists to move molds or equipment.
