DOCS Dermatology Group is seeking a Mohs Medical/Surgical Assistant to support doctors in surgical and medical dermatology settings. You will provide safe, compassionate care, escort patients, and document history, medications, and test results in the EHR.

Qualifications

• One (1)+ year experience in a medical setting is required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is required.
• Knowledge of sterile technique, anatomy, and medications is needed.
• Detail oriented with a professional attitude and reliability.
• Ability to follow or provide verbal and written instructions with good grammar and spelling.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a patient advocate during exams, surgery, and treatment.
• Escort patient to exam or surgical room.
• Obtain informed consent prior to procedures and document it.
• Take clinical photos and record patient data in the EHR.
• Prepare sterile surgical trays and assist during Mohs surgery as directed.
• Record vital signs, medications, allergies, and test results in the EHR.
• Prepare treatment rooms and maintain cleanliness and organization.
• Assist with drug refills and prescribe information as directed by physicians.
