Job summary

QualDerm Partners in Wilmington, NC seeks an experienced Mohs Histotechnician to prepare precise tissue sections and support timely patient care. You will work closely with our Mohs surgeon to enable high-quality slides and accurate diagnoses.

Responsibilities include operating cryostat equipment, performing quality checks, and maintaining clear documentation in a collaborative lab environment. A strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education meeting CLIA guidelines for high-complexity testing.
• At least three years of Mohs histotechnology experience.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative surgical environment.

Responsibilities

• Map, color-code, cut, stain, and prepare Mohs tissue specimens.
• Produce microscopic slides for surgeon evaluation.
• Operate and maintain cryostat and laboratory equipment.
• Complete quality-control checks and CLIA-required documentation.
• Maintain accurate logs, records, slides, and supply inventory.
• Coordinate pathology materials for internal and external consultations.
