St. Luke’s University Health Network is seeking a Mohs Technologist to accurately process, embed, section, and stain fresh skin tissue using a cryostat for Mohs micrographic surgery. The role requires precision under strict time constraints to support real-time surgical decisions.

Ideal candidates have expert histology knowledge, can maintain laboratory equipment, and demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and manual dexterity while complying with CLIA, OSHA, and HIPAA standards.

Qualificações

• AS or BS degree in a science field required or preferred for consideration.
• HT/HTL ASCP certification preferred.
• Previous experience in anatomic pathology is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Tissue Processing: Embed, section, and stain frozen tissue specimens to support Mohs procedures.
• Slide Preparation: Prepare and coverslip histologic slides for immediate review by the Mohs surgeon.
• Laboratory Maintenance: Calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain cryostats and staining instruments.
• Documentation: Maintain precise specimen records and map tissue samples with patient data.
• Safety and Compliance: Adhere to CLIA, OSHA, HIPAA, and safety standards.
• Operational Support: Set up lab environment, monitor inventory, and ensure supplies for daily operations.
