Job summary

McKinstry Thermal Systems, LLC seeks a Technical Product Manager in Seattle to drive modular products through full lifecycle—from concept to production launch. You will bridge engineering, manufacturing operations, and program management to ensure manufacturability, cost control, and alignment with customer needs.

The role requires strong DFMA, prototyping, and cross-functional leadership, with 8–10 years in technical fields and experience in modular products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field (master’s preferred).
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration is preferred.
• 8-10 years of total work experience in a technical or engineering field.
• Experience with modular/prefabricated mechanical or electrical products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams through the product lifecycle: concept, design validation, prototyping, testing, and production launch.
• Apply DFMA/DF A principles to ensure manufacturability, scalability, and efficiency of new products.
• Refine and optimize product designs for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA).
• Direct prototype builds, conduct first-article inspections, and iterate design from test feedback.
• Collaborate to refine 3D models, drawings, and shop packages.
• Recommend software purchases and in-house design tools to improve efficiency.
• Track industry trends to maintain technology leadership.
• Oversee transition from prototypes to production with smooth handoff to manufacturing.
