Job summary

Volumetric Building Companies (VBC) is seeking a Modular Assembler to construct high quality volumetric modular buildings in a manufacturing setting. You will perform assembly, installation, material handling and finishing tasks across production stages while upholding safety, quality, and productivity standards.

You will work in a team to build residential, commercial, or multifamily modules, adhering to production drawings and specifications, and coordinating with team members during shifts.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret production drawings and instructions.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools and power tools per safety standards.
• Basic math and measurement calculations for fit and trim.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Assemble modular building components according to drawings and work instructions.
• Perform framing, flooring, wall assembly, insulation, drywall, trim, and finish carpentry tasks.
• Assist with installation of doors, windows, cabinetry and interior finishes.
• Operate tools and production equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and follow 5S practices.
• Meet production schedules while ensuring quality workmanship.
