Job summary

GEON is seeking a commercially driven Business Development Manager to identify, develop, and commercialize opportunities across the mobility market. You will lead growth initiatives with automotive OEMs, Tier suppliers, and strategic partners while expanding GEON's presence through new applications, products, and markets.

Advantageous candidates will have a track record in new market development, polymer materials knowledge, and PPAP/long-cycle qualification experience in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience in business development, technical sales, product management, or strategic marketing.
• Strong understanding of polymers, compounding, and end-use applications.
• Proven success in creating new markets or revenue streams.
• Experience with automotive OEMs, material approvals, PPAP, and long-cycle qualification programs.
• Candidates must be based in the United States and authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Identify market trends, customer needs, and growth opportunities.
• Develop VOC insights to guide strategy and innovation.
• Expand TAM through new applications, partnerships, and opportunities.
• Build relationships with OEMs, Tier suppliers, and industry partners.
• Lead cross-functional teams to evaluate and commercialize opportunities.
• Create business cases, value propositions, and go-to-market plans.
• Collaborate with Sales to build and convert a strong pipeline.
