Job summary

Maternal and Family Health Services is seeking a full-time Program Assistant for its Mobile Unit operating in Lehigh Valley. The role supports WIC services, conducts screenings, and ensures delivery of benefits and nutrition education to eligible clients.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED, 1–3 years of related experience, and a valid PA driver’s license. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree preferred but not required.
• 1–3 years experience preferred.
• Valid PA driver’s license with zero points.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred in some sites.
• eWIC card readers experience preferred.
• Strong planning and organizational skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide WIC services from mobile unit to designated locations.
• Collect data and perform screenings for client eligibility.
• Explain program rules and participant rights and responsibilities.
• Record hematological and anthropometric measurements.
• Provide nutrition education and breastfeeding contacts.
• Distribute food instruments and explain E-WIC usage.
• Schedule appointments and maintain mobile unit inventory.
• Operate and maintain the mobile unit in accordance with laws.
