Job summary

Avis Budget Group in Bronx, NY is hiring a vehicle technician to service a diverse fleet of cargo vans and box trucks. You will perform standard and complex repairs, with mobile duties when needed, ensuring safety and road readiness.

The role requires ASE certification, 2+ years of medium/heavy-duty repair experience, and your own tool set. Regular on-site work with opportunities to advance ASE credentials is offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience performing mechanical repairs and diagnostics on medium-duty or heavy-duty equipment.
• At least 1 ASE certification, with the ability to obtain 2 additional ASE certifications within the first year.
• Must have a complete set of tools required for automotive and diesel repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard and complex mechanical repairs on a fleet of cargo vans and box trucks with minimal supervision.
• This role includes mobile repair responsibilities, traveling to vehicles to diagnose and resolve issues.
• Work on newer vehicles across multiple manufacturers, applying diesel and medium-duty expertise to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
