Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Trailer Technician II to support on-site maintenance and repairs at customer locations. You will perform certified DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and various repairs on trailers and equipment with a focus on safety and quality.

You will work under supervision of senior technicians, document findings, and coordinate with the customer and dispatch. A valid CDL and DOT readiness are required or pursued, with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with 3 years’ related field experience.
• ASE certifications are preferred but not required.
• DOT/FMCSA regulations knowledge and DOT medical card preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, DOT inspections, and routine repairs on trailers/equipment at customer sites.
• Document work and parts used in RO using TRAIT app on iOS device.
• Diagnose electrical issues and perform repair tasks in a mobile field setting.
• Maintain safety practices, drive company vehicle, and manage parts inventory.
• Communicate with customers and management to obtain approvals and provide updates.
