Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Trailer Technician II to perform certified DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light repairs at customer sites. You will handle trailer brakes, air lines, pumps, engines, liftgates, and related systems, working under supervision as needed for advanced tasks.

The role emphasizes safe operating practices, accurate documentation, and independent daily scheduling while supporting a wide client base with our nationwide service capabilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; related experience welcomed.
• DOT regulations compliance knowledge and ability to complete DOT forms.
• ASE certifications and ongoing training encouraged within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on trailers with minimal supervision.
• Document work using iOS device and TRAIT app, including parts used and RO findings.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical components and trailer systems.
• Maintain safe operating procedures and conduct pre-/post-trip inspections.
• Manage parts inventory and maintain the service truck and tools.
