Job summary

Accendra Health in Illinois is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to deliver home visits and office support across Waukegan, Rockford, with occasional Wisconsin coverage. You will set up oxygen and ventilation equipment, educate patients, and document care.

The role requires an active IL RT license (WI license a plus), a valid driver’s license, and comfort with mobile technology. Expect 40% office, 60% field travel.

Qualifications

• Active IL RT license; Wisconsin license optional/conditional.
• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Hold current CPR Certification and licensure in good standing for states of practice.

Responsibilities

• Conduct home visits to set up oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment.
• Educate patients/caregivers on equipment use, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Assess patient needs, document care, and escalate concerns when needed.
• Respond to discharge requests and support patient needs.
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and branch teams.
• Maintain documentation using iPad/laptop and organize patient records.
