Job summary

Accendra Health is seeking a licensed Respiratory Therapist to serve the Hanover Park area with on-site and field visits. You’ll install and support oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment while educating patients and caregivers.

Join a nationwide team focused on home-based care and collaboration with physicians, case managers, and branch staff. Prior DME experience is a plus and a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist with an active SC RT license.
• Open to various experience levels; DME experience is a plus.
• Must be able to stand, lift 10–50 lbs.
• Valid driver's license.
• Comfortable using mobile technology and digital documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct home visits to set up oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment.
• Educate patients and caregivers on equipment use and maintenance.
• Assess patient needs, document care, and escalate concerns as needed.
• Respond to discharge requests and support patient needs.
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and branch teams.
• Maintain documentation using iPad/laptop.
• Set up and operate respiratory care devices (oxygen, nebulization, PAP, ventilation).
• Inspect equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Perform clinical assessments and vital signs, e.g., pulse oximetry, ETCO2, spirometry.
