Accendra Health, Inc. is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to support Hanover Park, IL, delivering in-home and hospital-based patient care with extensive field interaction. The role emphasizes oxygen therapy, CPAP/BiPAP, and equipment setups, along with patient education and documentation using iPad/laptop.

The position is on-site with 75% travel to metro branches and 25% in-office, offering mileage reimbursement and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Active IL Respiratory Therapist license; state licenses for covered states.
• Current CPR certification.
• DME experience is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsabilités

• Conduct home visits to perform oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment setups and follow-ups.
• Educate patients and caregivers on equipment use, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Assess patient needs, document care, and escalate concerns as needed.
• Respond to hospital discharge requests and support patient needs.
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and branch teams.
• Maintain accurate documentation using iPad/laptop.
• Set up and operate respiratory equipment including oxygen, nebulization, PAP, and ventilation.
• Inspect and test equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Perform clinical assessments (pulse oximetry, ETCO2, spirometry) and gather vital signs.
