Job summary

Accendra Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for on-site work in Mountville with travel to York as needed. The role handles oxygen therapy, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment in patients' homes, with a focus on education and quality of care.

The position requires an active PA RT license, the ability to lift 50 lbs, and comfort with mobile tech. A valid driver’s license and accredited Respiratory Therapy education are essential.

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist with an active PA RT license.
• Ability to stand, lift, push and/or pull objects 10–50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Comfortable using mobile technology and digital documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct home visits to set up oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment.
• Educate patients and caregivers on equipment use, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Assess patient needs, document care delivered, and escalate concerns as needed.
• Respond to hospital discharge requests and support patient needs.
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and branch teams.
• Maintain accurate documentation using iPad/laptop.
• Set up and operate respiratory care equipment (oxygen, nebulization, PAP, ventilation).
• Inspect and test equipment to ensure proper operating condition.
• Perform clinical assessments and tests (pulse oximetry, ETCO2, spirometry).
• Perform other duties as required.
