Job summary

Elara Caring is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our home health team. You will provide therapy per the plan, assist patients toward mobility goals, and educate families on home therapy techniques. Travel between patient homes is required, with support from a supervising PT.

Qualified candidates hold an unrestricted PTA license, have a PTA program degree, and preferably 6+ months of PTA experience. A valid driver’s license or reliable transportation is essential.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted PTA license valid for the state of work.
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program approved by the American Therapy Association.
• 6+ months PTA experience preferred.
• Ability to frequently lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
• Must have a valid driver’s license or reliable transportation for travel between patient homes.

Responsibilities

• Provide PT services per the supervising PT's plan.
• Help patients work toward mobility and independence goals.
• Monitor progress and report changes to the supervising PT.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home therapy programs.
• Instruct patients/families on safe use of assistive devices.
• Deliver safe therapy per physician orders and guidelines.
