Elara Caring in Missouri is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to provide therapy services under a supervising PT, helping patients improve mobility and independence in home-based care.

You will educate patients and caregivers, teach safe use of assistive devices, monitor progress, and report changes to the supervising PT. A current PTA license and graduation from an accredited PTA program are required. Travel between patient homes is expected.

Qualifikationen

• Current, unrestricted PTA license valid for the state of work (Missouri).
• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program approved by the American Therapy Association.
• 6+ months experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant is preferred.
• Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and support up to 50 pounds, including positioning or transferring patients and moving equipment.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license or reliable transportation to travel between patient homes and assigned work locations.

Aufgaben

• Provide physical therapy services according to the treatment plan established by the Physical Therapist.
• Help patients work toward therapy goals that improve mobility, function, and independence.
• Monitor patient progress and promptly report changes in condition or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home therapy programs and techniques to support continued progress.
• Teach patients and families how to safely use assistive devices, including canes, walkers, wheelchairs, prosthetics, and orthotics.
