Job summary

Diagnostic-Laboratories- is seeking a Mobile Phlebotomist to perform pre-analytical lab tasks in a mobile setting and complete routes safely and on time. Role involves collecting samples at client facilities, identifying patients, and delivering specimens with proper labeling and documentation.

Candidates must have a current phlebotomy license (where required) and a valid state driver’s license with insurance.

Qualifications

• Must have a current, valid State phlebotomy license (if required).
• Must have a current, valid State Driver’s license and car insurance.
• Proficient in venipuncture and skin puncture techniques.
• Excellent communication with pediatric and geriatric populations.

Responsibilities

• Drives vehicle to client facilities, typically nursing homes, as directed by dispatcher.
• Unloads phlebotomy tray and takes samples to patient bedside for collection.
• Identifies patients before collecting specimens and labels/delivers them.
• Maintains required safety precautions and proper specimen handling.
• Communicates status to dispatcher and completes time records accurately.
• Monitors inventory and reports low stock or expirations.
